In this situation Pakistan should open up to accept foreign aid as well as foreign personnel interested in working for the relief. Pakistan should not be biased in accepting aids from countries. The problem is not just of relocating people but there is a risk of epidemics spreading, and Taliban regathering in the north western tribal area since the army is now busy in relief work. Looking at the condition of the citizens Pakistan shouldn't have denied India's aid, with whom it has fought four wars. India initially offered help of US$5million which Pakistan accepted after much delay due
to political reasons. Later India raised the aid to US$25million. Also, there are nearly 400 Indian doctors, who are still waiting for the Pakistan government's nod for visas to help flood victims. India has also already supplied the first consignment of 25 truck-loads of Indian potato to Pakistan. Some more than 80 countries have supplied aid material and money to the flood affected Pakistan.

| Jet Streams over Canada |
New Scientist has come up with a new theory about the floods connecting the wildfire in Russia, heatwave in Japan and unusual temperatures in US and Canada. Jet streams are fast flowing, narrow air currents found in the atmosphere. There are two kinds of jet streams polar(7KM-12KM from sea level) and tropical (10KM-16KM from seal level) polar jet streams are present in both Northern and Southern hemisphere, but the effect on the common people is seen only in the northern hemisphere as the south polar jet stream only moves around Antarctica.
Pakistan blamed India of waging water war by allowing water from Indian and Afghanistani dams (maintained and operated by India) to flood Pakistan. Though India has denied this blame. The Diplomat commented that "India seems to be aloof and blind to the tragedy affecting Pakistan" with the Indian media "barely giving the disaster" any coverage, while "the international community and aid agencies pump aid to those affected." Later NDTV (New Delhi Television Limited) claimed that the flood coverage was limited because Pakistan had not approved visas to Indian media people for visiting Pakistan to cover the floods.
