You must be careful when approaching these to make sure nothing happens. When coming up to one, ensure that once your lights go green, no one else is going to be obstructing your path. Don’t assume that because their lights are red people will stop; light jumps happen all the time and can cause a lot of accidents, so just be mindful of it for a few seconds before you go to pull off.

As long as you do just one of these things you will greatly reduce the risk of getting into an accident, regardless of whether it’s just you or with other people involved too! One of the biggest things that cause accidents today are mobile phones, they are a huge distraction and take people’s attention off the road causing mishaps, just like this did! Be wary to keep off your phone and be vigilant at all times to keep everyone in your car and other road users safe.
