Do I want to take my own vehicle or rent one at my destination? Is it worth the rent or is better to opt for collective transport? There are many doubts that assault us when we have to organize traveling transport, and here we will try to clarify them in the best possible way.

Nowadays, most countries have all kinds of transport, both public and private services, and that is why we have many traveling possibilities when it comes to choose how we want to travel. Is it better to travel with our own vehicle or is it better to leave it at home and opt for other alternatives? We will analyze some of the advantages and disadvantages of both options, so everyone can decide on their own needs.

The comfort of traveling with your car

There is no doubt that traveling with your own car is one of the most comfortable ways of traveling, and allow us, among other advantages, to enjoy a greater freedom of schedules and movement, since we are not going to have to stick to the usual departures or arrivals that we have with other public transport.

So basically, we will be able to displace to our destinations with comfort at any time we wish and without limitations, and also we can find another very interesting advantage: the fact that we will be able to carry with us all the items we want, including foods and hygiene of all sorts, clothes, etc.

Long distances versus short distances

However, when it comes to traveling long distances, doing it with our own vehicle can be somewhat less advisable, manly because we are going to take a lot longer than If we choose to buy train tickets, travel by ferry or even by plane.

Another drawback would be in fact, we will have to drive all the way, which means that, or there are several drivers in the car and so we combine driving taking proper rest, or it can become pretty exhausting.

In this sense, the main conclusion is that whenever we talk about short distances and a period of time where we rather more freedom of movement and carry greater burden, the ideal will be to travel with our own car. But If we have chosen some of the fantastic Madrid Tours, as we are taking short and very busy stays, agencies as the aforementioned can help us to organize better and forget to travel with our own car, because for some types of traveling, this option can be a nuisance.

Consider the type of tourism and destination

On the other hand we will also have to consider the type of tourism we are going to perform and our destination, as for example we can move freely in places with a minor traffic flow, If there is plenty of parking spaces, etc. But If we are traveling into a city with lots of agglomeration and not enough parking, the experience could become rather uncomfortable.

However, we always remind you that you have very interesting alternatives as in the case of Parkvel.com, an essential tool in case you have to find a parking space in any city of the United States.

If you do not want to continue giving hundreds of laps to find the right place to leave your vehicle, just keep an eye at this parking app, where you will find the perfect location as close as possible to your destination.

And finally we have to analyze every kind of public transport of our headed destination, with the purpose of being able to travel without problem If the train has stops along the whole planned, If we want to access to the underground, If there are 24 hours buses, etc

So basically, depending on the trip we want to make and our demands, will be more interesting to opt for one or another system.

Published

on

When it comes to travel, do you tend to find yourself sticking the same kinds of experiences? If you do, then you’re certainly not alone. Whether you like to go to the beach and kick back for a weeks’ peace, or you like to be a bit more active and find yourself at once with nature, it’s not always the best idea to stick to what you know. Because the world of travel can be super exciting. The world itself can be incredibly exciting too. So why limit yourself and the experiences that you have? Maybe it’s time for you to shake up your travel?

If that’s the case, then you’re going to want to work on a bucket list that will broaden your horizons and give you the kinds of experiences that you’ve only ever dreamt of having. Because you can go out and have them. Some will push you and the types of travel and transport methods that you’re used to, and some will open your eyes to the kinds of travel experiences you can have around the world. But all in all, you’re going to find that you shake up your world as you know it.

From cultural experiences, to seeing some of the most mesmerizing corners of the world, here are the fifteen types of travel you should add to your bucket list.

Solo Travel

We’re going to kick this off with a bit of solo travel. It’s not going to be for everybody, but it’s something that everyone should still consider. They say you should travel alone at least once, because it’s something that can really change your perspective on life. Of course, this is only going to be relevant if you’re at the stage in life where you can actually do this. If you can, add it to the top of your list.

Backpacking

Next, it’s on to backpacking. Even if you’re used to first class travel and staying in luxury, forget it for just a second. Because a backpacking experience can be absolutely incredible. From the views you’ll see when off the beaten track to sleeping under the stars if you choose to camp out! Packing up a bag and just heading off to some of the world’s most stunning spots is second to none.

Long Haul Flight

If you tend to keep most of your travel experiences close to home, then it’s time to break the mold and fly long haul. You may never have been out of the country, and while that’s completely okay (because there’s just so much to see), heading to somewhere super far away is both scary and unforgettable. So do it. Head to Asia or Australia and see what the other side of the world has to offer.

Private Jet

Or how about flying by PJ? That’s private jet to those in the know. And while you may think this is for the super duper elite, this post on The Latest Trends in Private Jet Activity shows that its so much more popular than you think. Maybe you can charter something as a one-off, or borrow from a friend? Even if it’s something you don’t do for twenty years, add it to the list. Because wouldn’t you love to do it, just once?

Interrailing

Next, there’s interrailing. If you have no idea what this is, you’re about to be enlightened. Because interrailing involves traveling by train to the destinations like you want to see. So it’s kind of like a road trip, but on the rails! And it’s absolutely worth a space on your must-do list of travel experiences. Just take a look at these incredible interrailing destinations to see why you have to do it.

Road Trip

And while we’re on the topic, there’s always road trips too! If you’re a big fan of road trips, then why not take your passion and take it around the world? Because the world’s greatest road trips are just waiting for you to experience them. If you’re not a seasoned traveler in this way, give it a try starting from your local town. It’ll certainly broaden your horizons a little.

Luxury Accommodation

Maybe you tend to stay on the frugal side of things when you travel? If that’s the case, then it’s time to shake things up. Because everybody needs to enjoy an incredible luxury experience just once in their life. Take the review of the Maldives luxury accommodation above. You don’t have to watch it all, but doesn’t it give you a taste of what you could experience? Even if it’s your once in a lifetime, save up for years, kind of trip – make some space for it on your list.

Family Favorites

Next, you’ve got the ever favorite option of going on a family vacation. And we’re not just talking about taking the kids to the coast for the weekend, but something bigger! Whether you want to head to an all-inclusive family resort, or head off to Disneyland with the extended family, it’s something that you’re going to want to splash out on every once and awhile. Because you all need the break.

Group Travel

And of course, you’re going to want to get in some group travel too. This might be something that you look to cover off as a family, or you might want to make some time for friends instead. Because traveling as a group is a completely different experience than going alone or as a couple. You tend to do more and try to see more. It’s something to try at least once in your lifetime and see how you get on.

Cruise

When we think of traveling anywhere or going on vacation, two types of travel will always come to mind; by road or in the air. But we never really seem to make much time for the water. Yet, traveling by boat can be a really incredible way to see the world – especially on a cruise. So much so, that the popularity of cruises continues to rise. You get to see some incredible spots and enjoy life on deck. What’s not to love?

Hiking

Another underrated travel method is by food. Okay, so you may not be able to do this entire travel experience on foot, but the bulk of it will be. Even if you’re not the most outdoorsy of people, this type of vacation can open your eyes. There are so many hiking trails that can blow your mind; it’s something that you need to try once in your life.

Camping

At the same time, you should also give camping a go too. It’s something that we often remember doing as small children, but there’s no reason why you couldn’t carry it on well into adulthood and even do with your kids. You can even give it a twist too. Why not camp in a tipi? Or rent a cabin in the woods? There are so many wilderness experiences to have, that it seems a shame for you to miss out on them.

Vintage Train Tour

So we talked about traveling by train in the form of interrailing, but now we’re going to talk about another kind of train travel and, in particular, The Orient Express. It’s vintage, luxury, and incredibly exciting. If you love all things Art Deco and you’ve always wanted to travel through Europe in style, why not consider adding this to your travel bucket list?

City Break

Next up, we have the classic city break too. When you tend to head to different coastlines and beachy vacation destinations, or even out into the country, you may want to think about changing things up and seeing different cities. While this won’t be for everyone, you shouldn’t shut it down until you’ve tried it – even if you’re not a city lover. Because the likes of Rome and Paris could sure change your mind!

Business Travel

Finally, the last type of travel we have to talk about is business travel. Okay, so technically you’re not really going to be able to go on a business trip unless you actually you’re in the line of work that allows you to go on business trips. But, if you are, then you need to try and plan one in. Traveling for business isn’t everyone’s favorite kind of travel, but it’s exciting. You can often see a different side to the world and enjoy a completely different experience too. So if you are in a line of work where you can travel, take every opportunity that comes your way.

Are you inspired yet? The chances are, your answer is going to be yes. Even if you’ve always been happy with your yearly vacations or your sporadic trips to see friends and family, you now know what other options are open to you. So whether you’re itching to plan in something new and fun or not, definitely consider an alternative type of travel when your next opportunity crops up.

What Malaysia Airlines’ First Flight from Kuala Lumpur to Surabaya Means for the City

Published

on

malaysia-airlines

Just two days ago, Malaysia Airlines commandeered their first flight from Malaysia’s national capital and largest city, Kuala Lumpur, to Surabaya, a port city on the Indonesian island of Java. This inaugural flight has caused a stir, and the event was celebrated with a welcome and send off event at Juanda International Airport. Guests included Datuk Seri Zahrain Mohamed Hashim (the Malaysian Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia), Arved von zur Muehlen (Malaysian Airlines’ Chief Commercial Officer) and several Indonesian local government officers. To add an extra special touch, guests on the flight were treated to a performance from dancers supplied by Tourism Indonesia and a whole range of other in-flight extras. So, what does this new airline connection mean for the country of Indonesia and its inhabitants? Stay with us as we explore the potential benefits for the region.

Potential Increases in Property Value

Improved and expanded transport links are massively beneficial for near enough any given location’s property market value. Think about it: when you’re searching for a home, you look for properties that have all of the necessary amenities nearby, or properties in areas with the necessary transport links required to get from your home to wherever you may need to be. Properties within walking distance of public transport links tend to be favoured. This demand transfers into increased interest in properties that fully cater to the market’s desires and the price of suitable properties increase dramatically. Now think about how beneficial the addition of an international airport that consistently works towards opening new flight paths may be to various individuals. Perhaps a potential tenant or buyer does business with partners in Surabaya. Properties in Kuala Lumpur will now look a lot more appealing to them, as they will be able to get to where they need to be with the least hassle possible. Perfect! So, if you’re planning on moving to Kuala Lumpur or investing in property in the city, it’s better to take action sooner rather than later. Otherwise, you may get to the marketplace a little late and find that the best properties have been snapped up, or prices have skyrocketed. So start viewing apartments for rent and sale now!

Increased Tourism

Surabaya has been known for its brilliant potential as a holiday destination for some time now. However, transfer flights and consequent longer travel times put many individuals from Kuala Lumpur off the area. However, this new flight path could massively boost the number of the city’s inhabitants who choose to holiday on the Indonesian island. With the commencement of regular flights between the two destinations, travel companies are likely to start setting up deals for package holidays to simplify the process and make a trip to Surabaya seem just what the tired city folk of Kuala Lumpur could do with. At the same time, many dwellers of Surabaya may well opt to visit Kuala Lumpur too! After all, these things work both ways. A holiday is generally best when you experience a change of culture and atmosphere, and the bustling city of Kuala Lumpur could prove to be an energising break for those habituated to island life. Both places can expect to see a dramatic increase in local income and the state of their economies through the tourism industry alone.

Improved Business Relations

Better and more open routes of transport allow for an improvement in business relations between two countries and cities within them. While many goods can easily be shipped overseas on, well, a ship, remember that planes don’t merely transport passengers. Many can also carry cargo for trade or sale. Planes are a much faster and more convenient option when it comes to getting items from A to B as quickly as possible. Especially considering the fact that we live in a more impatient consumer market than ever before. Many buyers expect the option of receiving purchased goods the next working day following the placement of their order. The increased ease that goods can be passed quickly between Kuala Lumpur and Surabaya will hopefully improve the working relationship between the two places to the equal benefit of both.

As you can see, the introduction of flights between Kuala Lumpur and Surabaya four times a week holds a lot of potential for Kuala Lumpur as a major city. Hopefully, the creation of this flight path will see an increase in the value of properties in the area, an increase in tourism, and better business relations. It’s all up from here on out!
