Corruption Free Political Party Launched : India

On 24th nov 2012 anti-corruption activist Arvind kejriwal has finally launched the corruption free political party for the people -” AAM AADMI PARTY (AAP)”.

In Hindi/Urdu the word ‘Aam’ means common and ‘Aadmi’ means a man, collectively means common man. “Aam Aadmi Party” is also known as “AAP” which indicates English word “You”. The idea behind naming the party as ‘Aam Aadmi Party’ was to give the power back to people by snatching it away from the powerful few.
This party will change the way politics and political parties function in the country,” Kejriwal told reporters.

The launch of the party came at a day-long meeting of around 320 people here during which the party’s Constitution, which envisages establishment of ‘Swaraj’ in the country, was also adopted. The meeting was held at Constitution Club.
The new party will begin its electoral fight with Delhi where Assembly elections are due towards the end of next year.
“For the past one-and-a-half-years we have been knocking at the doors of various parties on Lokpal Bill. But every party betrayed us when it came to Lokpal Bill. So we decided during the fast in August that this movement will take a political plunge.
Structure of Party is like
The party will not have a President, Vice President or General Secretary, but will have only a national convener who will be elected by the national executive. The Constitution of the party was also adopted at the meeting. A 30-member national executive will be the party’s highest decision-making body.
