Chicago Weather: Cold, Then Pleasant, and Now Thunderstorms

After a long chilly winter season people of Chicago found some relief as the weather in Chicago took a new turn and the temperature on Sunday rose to 80 degrees F. For some of the people it was like coming back to life. Sunny and warm, Chicago's weather conditions was best to have a wonderful start of the day.


"I think it's a great day. I'm actually from Detroit, Michigan, and I am visiting a friend for her bachelorette weekend, and we are enjoying this gorgeous day that we have here in Chicago," Rachel Orlawski said as quoated by abclocal.


The highest temperature recorded in Chicago till date is 90 degrees F that was way back in 1930. Yesterday a temperature of 83 degrees F was the reason of pleasant weather in Chicago.

While people enjoyed their day, a new tornado warning has been issued by the authorities for McHenry, Kane, Kendall and Grundy counties, according to the National Weather Service.

Radar's latest results says that two lines of thunderstorms are filling in and may move across northern Illinios. Chicago weather might change drastically and by now the early showers and strong winds must have started according to the regional authorities.

There are chances of showers and thunderstorms early on Monday, then rain and showers after 7 a.m said the weather service of Chicago. Compared to Sunday's 83 degrees F temperature, on Monday high temperature of 59 degrees f is expected, that means Chicago is again going to experience a cold weather.
